Pentad Fund - Profile

Pentad Fund combines equity, hedge and liquidity funds to provide investors with low volatility, minimum risk and a flexible cash withdrawal facility. The fund has the following open classes:

Pentad Sovereign Liquidity A: To provide a comparable rate of return to that offered by an international bank on a US Dollar, Euro or Sterling current account. A debit card facility is linked to the Sovereign Liquidity A Class investment account to allow a flexible cash withdrawal option.

Pentad Sovereign Liquidity B: To provide a comparable rate of return to that offered by an international bank on a US Dollar, Euro or Sterling 14 day fixed deposit. This is achieved by investing in redeemable preference shares of companies, whose assets shall consist of bank deposits, debt instruments - both quoted and unquoted, mortgage debentures, and collateralised debt instruments. Such debt instruments may be in the form of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to optimise the reduction of withholding taxes.

Pentad Hedge: Invests in a basket of hedge funds with returns correlated to world indices to achieve the best possible risk adjusted return in absolute terms by using a diversified and non-correlated portfolio of funds. The fund specifically allocates its assets to a select number of Market Neutral, Global Macro and Reactive Fund Managers.

Pentad Equity has four classes which invest in Global, European, Asian and North American equity markets to provide investors with absolute returns correlated to world indices. The objective is to reduce the volatility of the fund to a level below that of the relevant equity index whilst achieving a high level of capital growth by channeling investments into the most efficient vehicles to gain pure systematic risk exposure such as index tracker funds and into funds following active management strategies and absolute returns. There are four classes within Pentad Equity:

Pentad Asian Equity: Invests predominantly in Asian equity markets via funds, including hedge funds, to seek absolute returns correlated to Asian indices.
