David Rawson-Mackenzie
Managing Director, Centurion Group Limited David Rawson-Mackenzie is a well known commentator and adviser on investing in longevity as an asset class.
David is the founder and Managing Director of the Centurion Group, a financial services company set up to provide wealth management services to high net worth private clients throughout Europe and Latin America.
In 1999, David set up a fund management company - Centurion Fund Managers - and started researching longevity as a new asset class, launching one of the market's first life settlement funds, the Defined Return Fund, in 2002 followed by the Life Settlement Strategy Fund in 2006, which is listed on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange. His latest longevity fund is the Luxembourg domiciled Centurion Longevity Fund, which is one of the first in the industry to combine macro and micro longevity products. David is also currently developing a similar fund using life tenancies.
Prior to setting up Centurion, David gained a wide experience of the offshore financial services industry by working for the Bank of Bermuda in their offices in Bermuda, the Isle of Man and the Cayman Islands, as well as spending time in London. He was part of the bank's wealth management team where he was responsible for providing both corporate, fund and trust services and investment management advice to private high net worth clients. He worked closely with the key executives in Bermuda overseeing the integration of the bank's wealth management units before jointly leading the business development team for Latin America.
